Principals Welcome
I am incredibly proud to be Principal of a school that provides so much opportunity and support to our students. At Tenterfield High School our most important role is to deliver the very best teaching and learning to our students, and we are excelling in this area.
In 2022 we achieved recognition from the secretary of the Department of Education for outstanding improvements in the HSC over 2020 and 2021. These improvements represent one of the largest improvements in NSW.
In 2021 the school achieved above state average results in Agriculture, Biology, Mathematics Advanced, Primary Industries, Business Studies, English Standard and Hospitality.
Our small size means that students receive more individual support, tailored learning and pastoral care from our dedicated staff. Our students are involved in a range of sporting and extra-curricular activities which greatly enhance their experience at school. Agriculture and successful vocational education programs is a feature of the school, and we also offer excellent creative and performing arts opportunities. The students are highly active within the community and reach state level in a variety of sporting events.
Aboriginal culture and identity are recognised and celebrated across the school. Overall Tenterfield High School supports students not only with their learning, but also helps to build their independence, providing practical living skills and actively teaches and encourages students to be king, help others and be active and responsible independent members of the community.
