PDHPE
Discover PDHPE at Tenterfield High School
At THS, our PDHPE program is dedicated to nurturing well-rounded, healthy, and confident students prepared for life’s challenges. Through an engaging curriculum that combines physical activity, health education, and personal development, students build essential skills for lifelong wellbeing.
Why PDHPE?
- Promotes Physical Health: Our dynamic physical education classes encourage fitness, teamwork, and enjoyment of sport, helping students develop strong bodies and healthy habits.
- Supports Mental and Emotional Wellbeing: We teach valuable skills in resilience, self-awareness, and emotional regulation, empowering students to manage stress and build positive relationships.
- Develops Life Skills: From decision-making and goal-setting to communication and leadership, PDHPE equips students with essential capabilities for success beyond the classroom.
- Encourages Healthy Choices: Students explore topics like nutrition, safety, and respectful relationships, fostering responsible attitudes towards themselves and their community.
Our Approach
At Tenterfield High School, we empower students to achieve their best in sport, health, and personal development, preparing them for a balanced and successful future. Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
