Creative arts

Tenterfield High School has a vibrant and varied Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) program. Students grow and develop their skills through Music and Drama performances and workshops, as well as Visual Arts exhibitions, competitions, and special enrichment activities. The CAPA teachers are dedicated to giving students many opportunities to succeed through both their regular classes and extra-curricular programs.

Music students have access to the music room most lunchtimes. The school’s rock band recently performed at the Eisteddfod and took first place in the secondary schools instrumental group category. Drama students perform plays for the school throughout the year, with a major show on Presentation Day. Visual arts students enjoy opportunities to visit museums in Stanthorpe and Armidale, and they actively participate in art competitions, achieving great success.
